Bel Ombre is located in the Savanne district of Mauritius, the beautiful island that some may refer to as Paradise, with picturesque scenery and clear blue seas it seems fitting. This review will only praise this part of Mauritius as, in my opinion, if you were to visit the island, you would not want to miss out on this particular region.
For a relaxing break, Bel Ombre is the perfect location with over 5 different hotels to choose from, a marvellous beach club, ample acres of a golf course, luxury villas and the beach. What more could your heart desire?
To start off I glowingly recommend Heritage Le Telfair Golf and Spa Resort, with charming colonial architecture, it has a touch of leisure;
If an African themed stay is what you’re going for then I would advise Heritage Awali Golf and Spa Resort;
Both resorts are connected so you can enjoy 12 different restaurants, 8 bars and a Seven Colours Spa indulgence. Whilst there you can also take a ride around the golf course, a quad bike through the mountains and enjoy the Chateau of Bel Ombre that offers an exquisite dining experience.
The C Beach Club is a neighbour to the hotels and there you can enjoy a fun-filled day with a range of water sports to choose from, moving onto the opulent bar for an enjoyable sun downer to end the day.
And if you are in need of a break from the luxury then why not visit the local villages to really experience the Mauritian culture and local food, which mainly consists of tasty curries, colourful coconut cakes and spicy finger food. Explore the sea in a different way with scuba diving and dolphin watching, all available in Bel Ombre. It is most definitely worth a visit.
